THE SESSION - 21 YEARS
Prolific Coventry band The Session hit a milestone this year as they celebrate their 21st anniversary as a band & this night will embrace that occasion. Saturday 16th September at hmv Empire. Founded by brother & sister Dean MacDonald & Sheryl McClean & with almost all the original members still active within the group, the band have gone on to release 6 original studio albums in that time & played over 550 shows. From the early days in 2002 down the Dog & trumpet , the Jailhouse & the Hope & Anchor to the main stage of Godiva twice in the last 4 festivals. 2002 onwards had the band gigging all over the uk from Liverpool to London but the band always had a preference to Cov gigs where they have always had a great following & where they always had their best memories. They have shared stages with some of the biggest acts in The Charlatans & The Levellers to name just two & their hunger for the stage has never faltered from large shows to intimate local gigs . This night will sure to be a celebration & one not to be missed.
