The entities specified in the Legal notes decide jointly on how and for what purposes data shall be collected and used in connection with this online ticket shop, as described below, and therefore act, with regard to said data collection and data use, as jointly responsible bodies within the meaning of the data protection regulations (collectively referred to hereinafter as ‘jointly responsible bodies’). To that extent, the jointly responsible bodies also bear joint responsibility for ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
As a basic principle, the User may visit the ticket shop without any personal details being collected. However, use of the full range of functions provided by the ticket shop is not possible until the User has registered. This requires the User to provide his or her name, address, telephone number and email address. The jointly responsible bodies process the User’s personal details in compliance with the data protection provisions applicable to the agreements concluded. The data are automatically collected, processed and used by them to the extent that is necessary to establish, design or amend the contractual relationships. CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA uses the telephone number to contact you by phone should problems relating to payment arise (e.g. delayed payment to CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA, chargebacks, incorrect bank details). The jointly responsible bodies have the right to communicate these data to third parties that they commission to implement the agreements, should this be necessary to fulfil the agreements concluded. The jointly responsible bodies do not otherwise disclose the User’s data to third parties unless the User has given his or her express consent thereto. The User may revoke his or her consent at any time, without reasons having to be given. CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA receives the User’s revocation of consent as a central point of contact on behalf of the jointly responsible bodies, even if the revocation of consent relates to the handling of data by the particular body with shared responsibility.
Shortly before the event for which the User has purchased a ticket, CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA will send the User further information about the event (e.g. routes to the venue, parking options), by email where relevant. After the respective event, CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA will ask the User by email to rate the event; participation in such a survey is voluntary, of course. In other to provide these services, the information referred to in 1 above is processed.
The information received when the ticket is purchased is used by the jointly responsible bodies to send Newsletters to the User and to inform the User in future when events identical or similar to the one for which the User purchased a ticket are held, provided that the User has not objected thereto. If the User so desires, CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA will notify him or her by email as soon as there are new dates for the favourite artists and events selected by the User. Note: The User may refuse consent at any time to his or her data being used for these purposes by the jointly responsible bodies, e.g. in writing or by email to email@example.com. No costs other than the basic rate for transmission are incurred thereby. Users who have actively registered for the Newsletter can deregister from the Newsletter at any time in any of the aforementioned ways. The CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA receives the User’s revocation of consent as a central point of contact, even if the revocation of consent relates to the handling of data by the particular body with shared responsibility.
The User may examine and change the data stored for use by the jointly responsible bodies at any time, by logging into his or her user account. If the User’s data are to be deleted for ever, it suffices if the User sends a request to that effect. CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA receives the User’s request in its capacity as central point of contact on behalf of the jointly responsible bodies. Attention is drawn to the fact that, in some circumstances, statutory or contractual archiving requirements do not allow certain personal data to be deleted until after a specific period has elapsed. In that case, the data in question are blocked from use until they are finally deleted.
‘Cookies’ are used to help make the ticket shop and its functions as pleasant to use as possible. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the User’s hard disk. They are used for the ‘shopping basket’ function and to generate statistics about how the ticket shop is used, in order to improve the website functions continuously for the benefit of the Users. The jointly responsible bodies do not deploy any technologies that link information obtained from cookies with user data, in order to establish the User’s identity. The ticket shop may also be used without cookies, but that may cause the ticket shop to run with limited functionality. Web browsers can be set to accept or reject cookies in general, or in specific cases.
The jointly responsible bodies use your IP address if this is necessary for technical reasons in order to provide the website. The jointly responsible bodies also store your IP address for security reasons for a maximum of seven working days, in order to ensure the stability and the operational reliability of the IT systems deployed and to prevent or take action against any misuse of those systems.
