VRS Hackathon 2026

The VRS Hackathon is an annual intensive, team-based innovation sprint where researchers, developers, and creatives collaborate to design and prototype cutting-edge solutions in Extended Reality (XR) since 2023. Taking place over two days, participants work in small, interdisciplinary teams to tackle real-world challenges using technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and biosignal integration.

Supported by expert mentors from academia and industry, teams rapidly develop functional prototypes and present their solutions in a final showcase. The hackathon emphasizes practical impact, technical creativity, and user-centered design, encouraging participants to move beyond concepts and build tangible outcomes.

As part of the VR Summit, the VRS Hackathon connects emerging talent with leading researchers and industry partners, creating a unique environment for experimentation, collaboration, and innovation in immersive technologies.
