Jazz Sounds with Diederik, Ana, Nicolas

From the collaboration of pianist and composer Diederik Wissels, singer and lyricist Ana Rocha with Nicolas Kummert on saxophone and live electronics, the EP - "Sleepless" will be released during the SOUNDS series in the berlin-based Gallery Under The Mango Tree. Having previously worked together on the albums “Pasarela”, (2018), “Secrecy” (2020) and “Yearn” (2023) released on Belgian jazz label Igloo Records, the trio will be presenting their new digital EP on 04. April 2024.

Weaving their sounds together, they uncover new grounds for musical exploration in the dynamic and open conversation established between the voice, piano and saxophone, to which Kummert adds his own electronic modulation of the three musical voices. This often minimalistic repertoire on the verge of jazz, classical and folk music, grips the listeners attention with its beautiful harmonies and melodies.
