From the moon to the throat

tanzpol sees itself as a progressive exchange platform for choreography and performance, where generations of young and established artists from different cultural contexts can meet. Through performances, classes, workshops and a one-day symposium, tanzpol provides access to different aesthetics, bodies, working methods and artistic expertise, also for the Berlin dance scene and the Berlin audience. Dominant perspectives on non-European cultural contexts, as well as on structures within and outside Europe that impede exchange and networking, are reflected and put up for discussion. tanzpol has the long-term goal of establishing a moving network and sustainably strengthening the coming together of different perspectives and contexts in Berlin.
