Race Southworth

For his second appearance at Salon Schmitt after a sold out November show, Race Southworth will again be giving his all for a set on 3 May. His style was graciously described by the Die RhinePfalz "stylistically interesting somewhere located somewhere between modern folk - partly supported by the sound of a hung-up Bob Dylan memory harmonica - and even more modern, even slightly rock-tending country." 

Race debuted his self-written and self-produced freshman album, LETTERS TO SEND, in September of 2023 which has seen significant streaming for an unknown artist. His set will touch some new, current, and old: some new writes on his next album he's been working on, some from his first album, and lastly some covers the crowd will know. 

Race is an American living in Kaiserslautern. He is a solo artist who originally reigns from Texas. His career has kept him in the American West before his time in Europe which is conveyed in his voice and writing. From somber stories to foot-stomping fun, you're bound to have a good time at his show.
